Welcome

In the course of growing up in our complex world, children, adolescents and their parents inevitably encounter difficulties. Many of these social, learning or emotional problems can be resolved in the course of family and school life, with the help and support of parents, friends, teachers and others.

Sometimes professional help is required.

The Center for Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Clinic offers a range of services to help children, adolescents and their families when emotional problems hinder a child's or adolescent's growth and development. These services include assessments to determine the nature of the problem and a plan for intervention; psychotherapy; psychoanalysis; developmental guidance for parents; groupwork; referrals to other resources; and consultation about emotional development and the mental health needs of children.

The mission of the Center's Clinic is to provide high-quality mental health services to children, adolescents and their families regardless of the family's financial resources; and to be a resource and provide consultation and education to the community, including schools, teachers and administrators, public groups, parents, and mental health professionals.
